Preface of my upcoming new book

It is not everyday observation in Pakistan and especially in region of Baluchistan that you come across an astronomer and also a good one. It was and still is a unique event that this region of world had an astronomer and it was me. Book, I thought to write summarizes the events of my life from earliest known memory related to astronomy until this day when I just celebrated my 46th birthday with my two daughters, wife, mother, brother and others. Only reason behind writing this book is to motivate those people who are unaware (still) of importance of astronomy and the kind of thinking it can develop in their life. As there were no institutions, no authentic information sources, no good teachers to teach astronomy (and physics), it seemed like I covered all those eras of astronomical evolution by myself in few years of my life. For instance, I tried to figure out where the planets are on sky and how Moon completes its full period of phases. Today after 23 years of teaching I can tell those things to anyone in few seconds. It was complexity and beauty of universe, core attribute of it, which kept me working in field of astronomy and physics even when there were strong trends to become doctor and engineer around me. I am also one of those people who can use astronomy to strengthen my lifestyle on which detailed discussion is in chapter 8. This book is dedicated to those few people who really are amazed, like me, to see the universe, those few who will make their childhood like me and will read this book as bed time story for their kids. Lets begin…. In writing this book I have decided to add original images of the papers I wrote during all those years. These are in Urdu language and some are in English too but I thought it would be more enjoyable to read them in person rather narrating them formally in the book. Mohammad Baqir

A long exposure photograph capturing the swirling motion of stars in the night sky, creating circular trails around the North celestial pole. The Milky Way is visible as a bright, nebulous band stretching across the sky. The silhouetted horizon features a dark outline of trees, contrasting with the illuminated starry sky. The lower part of the image is tinged with a subtle orange hue, suggesting the remnants of a sunset or the glow of distant city lights.
